First we layout the carving design on a computer drafting program.
The program helps us to find the best size of the carving for the monument we will be cutting it into. This method takes
the "human error" out of centering and leveling the carving and places it perfectly in the center of the top of the stone
(see screenshot on right). Nearly any picture or drawing can be "digitized" or imported into the program. However,
because it is being carved into stone, some details may have to be slightly modified to give the final product the best
contrast.
